About the Role
Our client, a dynamic industrial solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Project Manager to join their team in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK . This role is crucial for planning, executing, and delivering complex industrial engineering projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing resources, and ensuring that all projects meet technical specifications and client requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize industrial engineering projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
- Manage project budgets, including forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Ensure the quality of project deliverables and manage change requests.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Communicate project status, issues, and successes to relevant stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in project management, specifically within an industrial engineering or manufacturing context.
- Strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), and project management frameworks (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and standard office applications.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work.
