About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Project Manager to lead critical projects within their R&D and operational departments, based in Reading . This role is central to driving the successful execution of complex pharmaceutical development programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, managing cross-functional teams, and mitigating risks effectively. This hybrid position allows for collaborative engagement with teams both on-site and remotely, fostering efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication channels.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Report project status, key milestones, and potential deviations to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Engineering); Master's or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, including R&D, clinical trials, or manufacturing scale-up.
- Strong understanding of drug development processes and relevant regulatory environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
