About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical engineering projects from initiation to completion for their Bristol operations. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of electrical systems and proven experience in managing large-scale projects, budgets, and teams. You will be responsible for ensuring project success by delivering on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards, while fostering strong client relationships and managing all project stakeholders effectively. This is a key position within our client's infrastructure division.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end management of electrical engineering projects, including planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Manage client expectations and communication, ensuring clear and consistent reporting on project progress and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in the Bristol area.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on electrical engineering projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million pound electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
