About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Civil Project Manager to oversee key infrastructure projects based in Oxford . This leadership role demands exceptional organisational skills and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution, from planning and design through to construction and completion, serving clients across the Oxfordshire region and beyond. This hybrid role allows for effective site engagement combined with the efficiency of remote planning and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet all scope, quality, and safety requirements.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless project progression.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures on all project sites.
- Prepare regular project progress reports for stakeholders and senior management.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in project management within the civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, and risk management.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
