About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Automotive Project Manager to lead critical development projects within their Sheffield facility. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the successful delivery of complex automotive components or systems. Working in a hybrid model, you will balance collaboration with team members and stakeholders with the flexibility of remote work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of automotive product development cycles, and a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious project goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalize automotive projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor project progress, report on key milestones, and proactively address any issues or deviations from the plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years specifically within the automotive industry.
- Proven experience managing complex projects from concept to launch, including product development or manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
