About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Mining Project Manager to lead significant projects for their operations based out of Liverpool, Merseyside . You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closure of mining projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the mining lifecycle, from exploration through to production and closure, contributing to the strategic growth and development of the company's assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of mining projects, from initiation to closure.
- Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee project teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
- Implement robust risk management strategies and mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders in Liverpool .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the mining industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex mining projects.
- Strong understanding of mining operations, geology, and processing.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and methodologies pertinent to the Merseyside region.
