About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical energy infrastructure projects in Sheffield . This role demands exceptional organizational skills, strategic planning capabilities, and a deep understanding of the energy sector. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This hybrid role offers a balanced approach, combining essential site visits and team coordination with the flexibility of remote work for strategic planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale energy infrastructure projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Communicate project status, risks, and performance effectively to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience managing complex projects, with a significant focus on the energy infrastructure sector.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget, managing large teams and multiple work streams.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies in a project management context.
