About the Role
Our client seeks an accomplished Mining Project Manager to spearhead diverse mining projects based out of Belfast . This role demands strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will manage all project phases, from conception and feasibility studies through to execution and closure, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives in the challenging but rewarding mining industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple mining projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of project teams, including engineers, geologists, and contractors.
- Ensure all projects comply with stringent health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, clients, and senior management regarding project progress and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the mining sector.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to successful delivery.
- Strong understanding of mining operations, technologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
