About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative clean energy projects from inception to completion, working entirely remotely. This role is central to driving the company's commitment to sustainability and expanding its portfolio of renewable energy solutions. You will manage all project phases, including site selection, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This fully remote position is ideal for a self-starter who excels in managing distributed teams and complex stakeholder relationships in the vital renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of renewable energy projects , including feasibility studies, development, financing, and construction.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including internal staff, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Secure necessary permits and approvals, navigating complex regulatory landscapes effectively.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, including investors, community groups, and utility partners.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, battery storage).
- Demonstrated success in managing the full project lifecycle of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of project finance, contract negotiation, and procurement processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage remote teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
