About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Automotive Project Manager to lead critical projects within their UK operations. This role is pivotal in driving the successful delivery of automotive components and systems from concept through to production, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will liaise with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project objectives. The role offers a hybrid working model, blending the benefits of remote flexibility with essential in-person collaboration at their Milton Keynes facility, allowing for strategic oversight and team cohesion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of automotive projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed.
- Report project progress, status, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager , ideally within the automotive manufacturing or supply chain sector.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
