Job Description
You will help to manage the implementation workstream, with the aim of achieving business targets for planning permissions.This islikelytoinclude:
- Leading in the project management of Solar projects at all stages of project development from site identification through to construction activity;
- Manage the technical /Implementation workstreams with the aim of ensuring projects are commerciallyviable and can be delivered.
- Support fellow project managers in the development of NSIP (DCO) scale solar projects.
- Coordinate consultations with Local Planning Authorities, national governmentbodiesand statutory consultees.
- Having full responsibility for management of project budgets and schedules from early-stage development to point of construction.
- Participate in Solar Energy UK (and other relevant industry bodies) consultations, workshops and conferences asrequired.
- Preparing and coordinating internal decision gate documentation.
- Managing project procurement for civil and electrical contractors ahead of construction
- Engage and negotiate agreements with landowners and their representatives;
- Discharging commencement planning condition discharge (or obtaining any post-consent planning variations).
- Manage stakeholder relationships andfacilitatecommunity engagement, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with financial, HSE, legal and technical and construction teams toestablishan optimalproject strategy that accounts for risk assessment.
- Working across business areas especially with Grid Services and PDU to optimise and implement solar projects
- Provide regular project progress reports and deliver detailed risk and opportunity analysis to management.
- Conduct market analysis for solar energy and actively contribute to the strategic direction and prospecting strategy of the UK Solar Development Team.
- Guide and coach junior team members (Assistant Project Managers/Project Managers) through challenging or unusual planning projects.
