Project Manager (Industrial Decommissioning Project)

Our client is undertaking a significant manufacturing facility decommissioning project as part of a strategic site closure and asset retirement programme.
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the execution of a complex manufacturing facility decommissioning project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the manufacturing facility decommissioning project.
- Act as the primary interface between all project stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities associated with decommissioning, demolition, dismantling, disposal and environmental remediation activities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and deliverables.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication across all workstreams.
- Monitor project performance and report progress, risks and key issues to stakeholders.
Site Coordination
- Coordinate ongoing site activities and remaining facility operations where required.
- Organise and prioritise work activities for remaining site personnel involved in cleaning, housekeeping, asset preparation and project support activities.
- Ensure safe coexistence of decommissioning activities with any ongoing site operations.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience
- Strong background in project management within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, environmental or engineering environments.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance, waste management and remediation activities.
- Strong planning, scheduling and reporting skills.
