Site-Based Project Manager – Hotel External Works
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Site-Based Project Manager to oversee a 10-week hotel refurbishment project, commencing 21 September 2026 .
The project will focus predominantly on external repair and remedial works , including works to concrete elements and the hotel façade. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within the agreed programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project on a day-to-day basis from site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site operatives.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed standards.
- Manage the short-term programme and ensure key milestones are achieved.
- Coordinate labour, materials, plant and access requirements.
- Monitor workmanship, quality and progress.
- Liaise with the client, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and project documentation.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant health & safety requirements and site procedures.
- Monitor project costs and minimise unnecessary delays or disruption.
- Attend and lead site meetings as required.
- Provide regular updates on progress, risks and any issues affecting the programme.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager / Site Manager within construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site management.
- Experience working on live commercial or hospitality projects would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple workstreams.
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the project.
- Relevant construction qualifications, such as SMSTS , CSCS, First Aid at Work and appropriate site safety certification..
