About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in infrastructure projects to join their team in Sheffield . This role is essential for overseeing the planning and execution of critical infrastructure upgrades and new deployments. You will be responsible for managing complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This on-site position fosters direct collaboration and engagement with our dedicated teams and stakeholders within our corporate facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, data center projects, and facility expansions.
- Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of internal teams, contractors, and vendors involved in infrastructure projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, implementing effective contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience managing complex infrastructure projects , such as IT infrastructure, construction, or engineering projects.
- Proven ability to manage budgets exceeding £5 million and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycles, relevant technologies, and project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
