About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated IT Project Manager to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is integral to the successful implementation of technology projects that support business objectives and enhance operational capabilities. You will manage projects from inception to completion, overseeing all aspects of the IT project delivery, including planning, execution, resource management, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent project management skills, capable of navigating the complexities of IT infrastructure and software development projects within a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to scope.
- Develop detailed project plans, resource estimates, and budget proposals for IT initiatives.
- Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Identify, assess, and manage IT project risks and issues, implementing appropriate solutions.
- Communicate project status, key decisions, and outcomes to all relevant parties.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security policies, and best practices throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in IT project management .
- Proven ability to manage software development, infrastructure, or systems integration projects.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent technical aptitude and ability to understand complex IT concepts.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Project+, PMP) are advantageous.
