Flowtec Group is partnered with a leading mechanical contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of mission critical mechanical projects throughout Virginia.
This position offers the opportunity to lead complex MEP packages on some of the region's most significant data centre developments. Depending on project requirements, you'll split your time between the Virginia office, project sites, and working remotely, with projects stretching from the southern Virginia border through to the Manassas corridor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of large-scale mechanical and MEP packages from preconstruction through commissioning and final handover.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, change orders and overall financial performance.
- Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively identifying risks and implementing recovery plans where required.
- Coordinate with owners, general contractors, design consultants and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittals while resolving technical issues before construction impacts the schedule.
- Support startup activities, commissioning, closeout documentation and client turnover.
- Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers while supporting the continued growth of the project team.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of Project Management experience within commercial, industrial or mission critical construction.
- Previous experience delivering complex mechanical or MEP packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Data centre, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, healthcare or other mission critical project experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, chilled water, piping, central plant and mechanical infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing project financials, schedules and subcontractor performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead multiple teams simultaneously.
