We are hiring for a Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Newark, DE.

Primary Responsibilities:
n
- n
- Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and construction inspection and testing proposals. n
- Oversee staff for geotechnical projects, including field explorations, laboratory testing programs, advanced bearing capacity/settlement analysis, deep foundations, slope stability analysis, and other geotechnical analyses. n
- Oversee staff performing inspection and testing during construction. n
- Interface with clients and ensure quality timely service. n
- Successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction observation and materials testing projects. n
- Managing existing clients and developing new clients. n
- Developing proposals. n
- Performing and reviewing geotechnical calculations. n
- Drafting and reviewing geotechnical reports n

Basic Requirements:

- n
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline (preferably a BS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering). n
- 8+ years of professional experience working in Engineering n
- PE license in DE or able obtain PE within 6 months of their start date. n

Preferred Attributes:

- n
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, contractor, owner, regulatory agencies n
- Ability to develop budgets and geotechnical scopes, ability to develop comprehensive calculation packages suitable for review by regulatory agencies n
- Advanced knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation design as well as slope stability and geotechnical instrumentation n
- Knowledge of IBC and Construction testing (e.g., concrete, masonry, fireproofing, structural steel, etc. n
- Experience in dam design/analysis n
- Experience with local DOT methods and procedures. (e.g., DelDOT, MDSHA, DDOT, NJDOT, PADOT) n
