Electrical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial, residential high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, and infrastructure electrical construction projects throughout the New York City metropolitan area. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, client communication, change order management, and project closeout. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact between field operations, clients, consultants, and internal leadership while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower forecasts.
- Coordinate project activities with owners, general contractors, consultants, and design teams.
- Monitor project performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track costs, labor productivity, and material expenditures.
- Review contracts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
- Develop and negotiate change orders and extra work authorizations.
- Generate monthly financial projections and cost reports.
- Act as the primary client contact throughout project execution.
- Attend owner meetings, progress meetings, and coordinate relationships with general contractors, developers, and consulting firms.
- Manage equipment and material procurement, review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor material lead times and address delivery challenges.
- Partner closely with Superintendents and Foremen.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout NYC project locations.
- Verify work is performed according to contract documents and applicable codes.
- Support workforce planning and staffing requirements.
- Promote a safety-first culture and enforce OSHA standards.
- Participate in project inspections and punch list completion activities.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of Electrical Project Management experience.
- Experience managing commercial, residential high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, healthcare, educational, or infrastructure electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of NYC Electrical Code, National Electrical Code (NEC), Electrical systems installation, Power distribution systems, Lighting systems, Fire alarm systems, Emergency power systems.
- Experience with project financial management and forecasting.
- Ability to review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Experience managing projects valued between $1M-$25M+.
- Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment
This position involves working both in an office and on-site. The work environment is dynamic and requires regular site visits throughout New York City project locations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
