Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously enhance comprehensive financial models, including corporate, project screening, and detailed project-level models.
- Lead financial analysis for renewable energy initiatives from early-stage assessment to investment decision-making, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Support project financing activities, including debt and equity transactions, liaising with lenders, investors, and external advisors.
- Play an integral role in fundraising efforts, preparing models for investor diligence, and contributing to investor presentations.
- Engage confidently in investor meetings and due diligence, articulating assumptions, sensitivities, and strategic insights.
- Integrate AI tools such as Claude to automate model auditing, generate scenarios, and streamline workflows, championing innovative productivity solutions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, working cross-functionally for operational and project financial tracking.
- Collaborate with external partners on credit, tax, and monetization workstreams to ensure compliance and maximize project value.
- Mentor junior finance team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Prepare compelling financial summaries and reports for internal leadership, investors, and board meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of advanced financial modeling experience within energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
- Deep expertise in project finance, including debt structuring, valuation, cash flow modeling, and financial analysis tools (IRR, NPV, DSCR).
- Proven ability to support and lead financing processes with lenders and investors.
- Mastery of Excel — building complex, multi-scenario models from scratch — enhanced by familiarity with AI-driven modeling tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and surface strategic insights.
- Excellent communication capabilities, capable of translating complex data into clear narratives.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with energy project development, PPA negotiations, tax credits, or construction finance.
- Prior roles in energy development, investment banking, infrastructure funds, or project advisory firms.
