Talascend is currently seeking an Internal Project Manager for a hybrid, contract opportunity with our client.
Overview
The Internal Project Manager (IPM) for Equipment Projects is a leadership role on the project team responsible for managing delivery and cost through proactive risk and opportunity management, cross-functional mitigation, and change management discipline. The IPM works closely with a core team of cost and schedule experts to achieve critical project targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly meetings with project team members to review cost and schedule risks and opportunities, and identify action plans for mitigation.
- Drive mitigation efforts for cost and schedule risks with functional owners through current operational rhythms and offline meetings.
- Set up ad-hoc meetings to resolve complex or stuck issues, escalate issues when leadership support is needed, and communicate updates to project management and change management teams.
- Support the project manager and change manager with risk action plans and updates, and flow cost and schedule variance data from weekly rhythms into daily management reviews.
- Assist core team members in coordinating commitment meetings to discuss baseline, targets, forecasts, and risks to launch execution plans.
Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
- Experience in project management, risk management, or related fields preferred.
