Role Summary
The Technical Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-performance equity trading platforms. This includes overseeing initiatives for Order Routing and Real-time Risk Management systems. You will collaborate with Business Users, Software Engineers, and Compliance officers to ensure our systems remain low-latency, resilient, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Delivery: Own the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for trading system
upgrades, from initial requirements gathering (BRDs/FRDs) to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production rollout.
• Scalable Feature Delivery: Lead the development and rollout of retail-centric trading related features and integrations with vendor systems.
• Market Connectivity: Coordinate the integration of new Exchange/Venue APIs and the
implementation of FIX Protocol updates for global markets (NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE, HKEX, etc.).
• Risk & Performance Monitoring: Lead initiatives to optimize system latency and throughput.
• Oversee the deployment of agentic AI for real-time trade surveillance and anomaly detection.
• Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as the primary liaison between the "Business Users” and the "IT" to prioritize the features delivery.
• Third-Party Integrations: Coordinate with vendors for KYC/AML (onboarding), Banking-as-a Service (BaaS) for instant deposits, and Market Data providers (Refinitiv, IEX).
Technical & Domain Expertise
• Trading Lifecycle: Expert-level knowledge of order types, market data feeds (multicast/unicast), clearing, and settlement.
• Protocols & Infrastructure: Deep understanding of FIX 4.2/4.4/5.0, Binary protocols (SBE, ITCH/OUCH), and Linux-based low-latency environments.
• Retail Trading Tech Stack: Familiarity with React Native/Flutter for mobile, Node.js/.NET
Core for high-concurrency backends, and PostgreSQL/Redis for transactional integrity.
• API-First Architecture: Experience managing REST/WebSocket APIs that power both the mobile app and third-party partner integrations.
• Identity & Security: Deep knowledge of OAuth2/OpenID Connect and Biometric authentication.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience managing auto-scaling environments in AWS/Azure/GCP to handle "market open" traffic spikes (e.g., the 9:30 AM EST surge).
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years in TPM roles, with at least 3 years specifically in Fintech Trading
• Vendors, Retail Wealth Management or Investment Banking.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Methodologies: Proven success leading teams using Agile/Scrum in a high-pressure environment.
