The Bilingual Project Manager, Choosing Wisely & Health Research (PM-CW&HR) is responsible for managing the Choosing Wisely program for New Brunswick and a portfolio of health research partnerships at ResearchNB. Reporting to the Director, Strategic Priorities, the PM-CW&HR will support the coordination of Choosing Wisely New Brunswick (CWNB), serving as a liaison between the provincial organization, local champions in the health sector and the National organization. The PM-CW&HR is also responsible for coordinating business development activities, contributing to science communication, and supporting knowledge mobilization for health research in New Brunswick.
Key Responsibilities
Choosing Wisely
- Manage and monitor progress on CWNB Projects in keeping with direction from the Choosing Wisely Steering Committee
- Using Blood Wisely
- Using Labs Wisely
- Primary Care
- Long-term Care
- Working with the CWNB Steering Committee, serve as a liaison between the provincial organization, local champions in the health sector and the National organization. Liaise with Choosing Wisely STARS students.
- Provide operational support to the CW Regional Steering Committee. Convene and facilitate Steering Committee and Working Group meetings.
- Provide reports to Unity Health and funding organizations biannually. Provide budgetary/finance support if/as required and in keeping with all reporting requirements.
- Attending Regional and National Choosing Wisely Canada (CWC)
- meetings. Support CWNB website and newsletter.
ResearchNB Health Research Support
- Collaborate with health system stakeholders on implementation of strategic initiatives, such as the New Brunswick Health System Research Agenda and the Atlantic Precision Medicine Initiative.
- Contribute to engagement activities with key stakeholders across the New Brunswick life sciences ecosystem to support strategic initiatives and build value propositions for future business development activities.
- Prepare research, analytical, and policy reports on health research opportunity areas for New Brunswick.
- Support science communication and knowledge mobilization by collaborating on communications materials, preparing policy briefings, developing education & training materials, and contributing to ResearchNB events that share health research findings with key audiences in New Brunswick.
Key Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a research related field (health research preferred)
- Proficiency in English and French (written and oral) is required
- Direct experience and knowledge of health systems, research, or a related industry would be considered an asset.
- Ability to understand and apply common data analysis methods and procedures.
- Demonstrated writing experience (e.g. reports, articles for peer-reviewed publication, briefing notes).
- Foundational understanding of project management and facilitation methodologies.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to foster collaborative partnerships that span traditional boundaries within a health care setting.
- Ability to deliver impactful presentations and represent the organization at events including experience preparing and presenting to clinical, public, and academic audiences.
