Turner & Townsend are seeking an experiencedSenior Project Manager tojoin our team. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supplychains to deliver compliant projects.
- Can analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid scheduleslips.
- Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized
- Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
- Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
- Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.
- Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
- Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
- Forecast and update key project milestones.
- Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
- Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
- Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
- Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
- Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
- Client management -assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
- Strategic Thinking -provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives.
- Knowledge management - ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project are captured.
- Process improvement - Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor’s degree and or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience , preferably in Nuclear, Energy, Chemical, Data Center or other highly-regulated Industrial Facilities.
- PMP certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Proven experience managing full project lifecycle ownership with assigned budgets.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget development and cost control.
- Direct experience working in highly regulated environments.
- Superior communication skills, with the ability to converse confidently and professionally with senior project management peers and technical stakeholders.
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing and able to work on site in Eunice, New Mexico
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Willingness to travel or relocate as required (candidates sourced primarily from Houston and Midland).
Preferred Experience
- Prior work in nuclear facilities or similarly regulated industrial settings.
