Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

About the Role:

We are actively seeking a Traveling Mechanical Assistant Project Manager with extensive experience in the MEP construction trades , specifically within HVAC and mechanical systems , to oversee large-scale commercial ground-up projects across the country. This is a field-forward leadership position with full responsibility for mechanical scope execution on fast-paced, technically complex jobs.

The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in mechanical systems and coordination, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is fully committed to full-time travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full mechanical scope on large commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Oversee subcontractor performance, mechanical installation quality, and schedule adherence
Coordinate mechanical/HVAC activities with the GC, other trades, and design teams
Review submittals, RFIs, and mechanical plans for accuracy and constructability
Lead onsite mechanical coordination meetings and ensure seamless integration with plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
Monitor and report on budget, labor, productivity, and cost control measures
Ensure all work meets project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations

Qualifications:

2+ years of project management experience within the mechanical/HVAC trades (open to multiple levels of experience)
Proven experience leading mechanical scopes on large-scale, ground-up commercial construction projects
Deep understanding of HVAC systems, ductwork, chilled water, hot water, and controls
Strong technical skills and knowledge of industry standards and codes
Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Willingness and availability to travel 100% of the time
