Mission The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of high-complexity programs within the space segment.This role ensures delivery on time, within scope and budget, while aligning cross-functional teams andmaintaining high technical standards. The position directly contributes to the execution of strategicspace initiatives and acts as primary liaison with governmental and industrial stakeholders.
Responsibilities Project Management & Execution - Define and monitor project milestones, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain technical and functional specifications (requirement documents)
- Track and report project progress through structured status updates and documentation
Cross-Functional Coordination - Align internal stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments
- Coordinate internal workflows and manage interfaces between project participants
- Lead and document review processes with external clients and partners
Client & Stakeholder Engagement - Serve as primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure transparency of progress and risks to internal management and external sponsors
Required Qualifications - Degree in engineering, physics, or related technical field (Dipl.-Ing., MSc, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading complex technical projects
- Proven experience in aerospace or space-related programs
- Certification in project management (IPMA Level D or equivalent)
- Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)
Preferred Experience - Background in sensor technology or electro-optics
- Familiarity with public-sector project environments and procurement structures
