Brelje & Race Consulting Engineers has an opportunity for an experienced project manager or senior civil engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team in the development of civil site design projects. This full-time position will be based in our office in Santa Rosa, California, and is available immediately.
What you'll be doing:
As a civil engineering professional, highly experienced in the planning and design of civil site improvements, your role will be to lead projects that will include, among others, education, healthcare, senior living, multi-family housing, commercial mixed-use, and wineries and hospitality. Your responsibilities will focus on civil site design, including grading, wet utilities, drainage analysis, storm water management, roadway improvements, regulatory permit coordination, entitlement review, and construction administration. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and interact with clients and colleagues. Additionally, you will help grow the business by assisting with proposals and developing client relationships. This role offers strong potential for further advancement, including participation in firm ownership.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent work experience)
- Professional registration as a licensed Civil Engineer in California (or ability to obtain California P.E. license within six months of hire)
- 10+ years of progressive civil engineering and project management experience in civil site design
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite
Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in grading, drainage, and utility design, preferably utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Detailed working knowledge of ADA requirements specific to site design and current storm water management/treatment and hydromodification requirements and methodologies
- Construction administration experience
- Experience with marketing activities including preparation of proposals

You will work under the direction and guidance of a Principal of the firm and have sufficient experience to direct the work of junior staff.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $160,000 to $190,000 (annually), and will be based on experience, qualifications, education, and licensure/certifications.
