Summary
The Construction Project Manager is vital to managing and executing all phases of our construction projects from initiation through to closeout. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including client communication, budget management, scheduling, documentation, and ensuring projects adhere to specifications, standards, and guidelines.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Project Initiation and Planning:
- Lead project initiation, including coordinating inspections and ensuring proper documentation is prepared and managed.
- Manage documentation like Sketch/Rough Estimate, Customer Information Form, and Letter of Intent.
- Create and manage the project using Company Cam and other related software.
- Client and Sub-Contractor Communication:
- Establish and maintain clear and continuous communication with clients and sub-contractors throughout each project.
- Conduct pre-construction consultations, address queries, and set project expectations with both clients and sub-contractors.
- Budget and Financial Management:
- Manage all financial aspects of projects, including estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial documentation and reporting on platforms like Google Financials.
- Manage and document all transactions related to projects, ensuring all are saved with relevant identification and reported in financial tracking systems.
- Project Execution and Management:
- Coordinate with sub-contractors, scheduling and overseeing phases, and ensuring work is conducted as per scope.
- Perform daily check-ins with sub-contractors, schedule progress payments/checks, and plan final walkthroughs.
- Ensure all project steps are documented and updated in the relevant systems (WC, Google Financials, etc.).
- Actively request and manage client reviews throughout the project.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and stored appropriately.
- Ensure all projects adhere to legal standards and company policies.
- Quality and Safety Management:
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all workers and work sites.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, analyze, and manage risks that might threaten the success or completion of the project.

Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable skills in utilizing project management software (such as Company Cam) and financial management platforms (such as Google Financials).
- Proven organizational and multitasking skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize various projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional ability in both verbal and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Holding certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management).
- Strong problem-solving skills and capability to make data-driven decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Previous experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and utilizing financial tracking systems.
Working Hours & Travel
- Job Type: Full Time
- Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- This position frequently requires long hours (beyond 8 hours a day), including some evening and weekend work.
- On-call rotation: You may be expected to participate in the departments on-call program. You will be notified in advance of participation.
- Travel: Primarily local, some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

- Clear vision, including the ability to read small print on blueprints and construction documents, and distinguish colors for accurate assessment.
- Walking and standing for long periods of time, sitting, climbing ladders, working at ceiling heights, working in tight spaces (i.e., crawl spaces, attics).
- The noise level in the work environment and jobsites may be loud. The employee may be required to occasionally wear a respirator for their safety.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as heat, noxious odors, etc.
