Overview In this role you will lead multidisciplinary projects from Norwich with travel across East Anglia, primarily in the defence sector. You will act as a PM/Building Surveyor lead, coordinating design teams, managing budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with directors, mentor junior staff, and assess tenders to guide client decisions. The position combines hands-on project delivery with client-facing responsibilities in a high-pressure environment. You’ll contribute to a practice that delivers multidisciplinary building consultancy and project management services with a defence focus.
Responsibilities - Weekly team coordination from Norwich
- Control expenditure and budgets
- Update Directors on project progress
- Oversee work of junior team members
- Maintain client-facing communications and build relationships
- Assess tenders and make recommendations to clients
- Assist in appointing consultants and specialist contractors
- Lead PM/BS activities on defence sector projects
Key requirements - MRICS Chartered Membership
- Strong understanding of MoD/USAF regulations
- Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp
- Experience in defence or security sector
- Full UK driving licence
