Overview In this role you will lead the delivery of Thames and Southern Water civil and infrastructure projects from Stratford, coordinating between management, site teams, clients and stakeholders. You will drive safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery while maintaining quality and client satisfaction. You’ll oversee pre-construction through completion, contributing to the growth of the business and the delivery of UV lining/sewerage projects across water frameworks. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong emphasis on planning, commercial awareness and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities - Liaise between management, operational teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop, monitor and maintain project programmes with milestone delivery
- Lead pre-construction planning including programme development, logistics and resource allocation
- Forecast labour, plant, equipment and materials; manage procurement and inventory to optimise cost
- Track project costs, monitor expenditure against budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and revenue projections; assist with valuations and cash flow
- Monitor performance against financial targets and support resolution of commercial issues
- Attend planning meetings, client meetings and site inspections; maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with project specifications and HSE requirements
- Promote safety culture, participate in quality inspections and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance to engineering, site and project teams and mentor junior staff
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company procedures
Key requirements - 2 years' experience in an Engineer/APM-like role or similar project delivery position
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource management skills
- Excellent organisational, coordination and multi-priority management abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and Project
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between locations
- Experience in drainage, utilities, civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial project management principles
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and health and safety requirements
- Professional membership or progress toward chartership with a recognised body
