Job Summary
Global Edge is seeking a Project Manager I to manage electrical construction projects or defined scopes within larger projects. This role is responsible for project execution from kickoff through closeout, with a focus on schedule, budget, field coordination, documentation, and client satisfaction .
The ideal candidate has electrical construction experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities in fast-paced commercial, industrial, and mission-critical/data center environments .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects or assigned scopes from kickoff through closeout.
- Track project budgets, labor productivity, costs, commitments, and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term lookaheads.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material procurement and track long-lead equipment.
- Support owner billing, AIA pay applications, lien waivers, and collections.
- Participate in client and contractor meetings and communicate project status and risks.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.
- Support commissioning, punch-list completion, closeout, and final turnover.
- Ensure projects meet company safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of construction or project management experience , preferably within electrical construction.
- Working knowledge of electrical construction methods, systems, and project sequencing.
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, cost tracking, and project documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience coordinating with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Microsoft Office , or similar construction management platforms.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- OSHA 10 required or ability to obtain after hire.
- Valid driver's license required.
- CPR/First Aid and NFPA 70E knowledge preferred.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, exempt position supporting office and active construction environments. Regular jobsite visits and occasional travel may be required. The position typically operates Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed to support project schedules and critical milestones.
