Assistant Project Manager/ Project Engineer
Mobile, Alabama Area | 100MW+ Greenfield Hyperscale Data Center
An established construction organization is assembling the project team for a major new 100MW+ greenfield hyperscale data-center development in the Mobile, Alabama area .
This is an opportunity to join the project at the very beginning of its lifecycle, working alongside experienced project leadership on a large-scale, technically complex development with significant long-term growth potential.
We are looking to appoint 2–3 Assistant Project Managers/ Project Engineers to support project delivery across document control, subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals and general project administration.
For ambitious construction professionals with strong large-project experience, this role offers a clear opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and develop toward a broader Project Management career path as the campus progresses.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals and project documentation.
- Support subcontractor coordination and communication.
- Assist Project Managers and field leadership with day-to-day project execution.
- Track documentation, actions, approvals and outstanding project items.
- Coordinate between project stakeholders, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Support project meetings, reporting and construction administration.
- Develop toward increased package and Project Management responsibility.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer or similar construction professional.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects is essential.
- Data-center or hyperscale experience is advantageous but not required .
- Backgrounds in major commercial, industrial, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical or similarly complex construction environments will be considered.
- Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, document control and subcontractor coordination.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-moving, large-project environment.
- Strong communication, organization and attention to detail.
Location / Working Arrangement
The project is currently in early mobilization. Successful candidates may initially work remotely while site infrastructure is established, before transitioning to full-time onsite work in the Mobile, Alabama area .
Candidates may be considered from across the United States where they are open to working onsite for the duration of the project.
Compensation
Approximately $120,000–$150,000 base salary , depending on experience and location.
