Ground Mount Solar | Utility Scale Projects
About the Role
Our client is a leading renewable energy contractor delivering large-scale solar projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Solar Project Manager to oversee the delivery of utility-scale ground mounted solar farms from inception through to energisation and handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who has successfully delivered UK solar projects from cradle to grave and is comfortable managing projects nationwide.
The first project will be located in Buckinghamshire , however future schemes will be situated across the UK, therefore flexibility to travel and stay away when required is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Manage projects through the complete lifecycle, from pre-construction and planning through to commissioning and final handover.
- Lead project teams including Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
- Develop and manage project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, DNOs and key stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience delivering ground mounted solar PV projects in the UK .
- Demonstrable experience managing projects from cradle to grave .
- Strong understanding of utility-scale renewable energy construction.
- Willingness to travel and work across multiple UK project locations.
Desirable
- SMSTS.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
- Experience working on projects ranging from 10MW to 100MW+.
