Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial management of assigned projects, including budget and cost projection, change control, profit projections and overall project financial performance with limited to no supervision.
- Participate in owner/client sales presentations.
- Monitor job costs.
- Prepare and control budget, schedule and bid documents.
- Negotiate and award subcontracts.
- Prepare profit projections.
- Conduct project close‑out duties, including subcontract and prime contract reconciliation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees a plus.
- 6+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (Mission Critical/Data Center experience preferred).
- High level of honesty and integrity.
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, SmartSheets, Nexus).
- Advanced knowledge of budget management, estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, cost consultants, and owner/clients.
Preferred additional experience:
- Proven knowledge of complex projects such as mission critical, healthcare, laboratory, or manufacturing with contract values of $100M+.
- Deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong background in financial management and change management.
