Overview In this role, you support delivery of high-value defence and security projects within WSP’s Property and Buildings business. You’ll report to the Delivery Lead, manage projects to plan, budget and schedule, and coordinate with clients and internal teams. The role combines traditional project management with sector-specific security requirements, aiming to deliver complex building and infrastructure work across RIBA design stages. You’ll travel between home, offices, and client sites as needed, and help win future work. This is a chance to shape impactful programmes in a growing defence-focused team.
Responsibilities - Manage project scope, resources, finance and schedule to plan
- Govern change control, risk, and client relationship management
- Coordinate meetings, write reports, and monitor project finances
- Support or lead smaller projects and assist larger programmes
- Ensure work aligns with Defence sector security requirements
- Assist work-winning activities and act as an ambassador for the sector
Key requirements - Experience in Defence and Security sector supporting construction or infrastructure projects
- Understanding of security protocols and, ideally, MOD policy and JSP 850
- Progress toward project management qualifications (PMI, APM, RICS, CIOB)
- Progress toward NEC3/4 PM qualification
- Degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Eligible for Security Clearance
- Existing network within Defence and Security sector
