Overview As an Electrical Project Manager, you will own electrical projects from pre-construction to handover within a growing building services contractor. You will lead design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning, while coordinating subcontractors and stakeholders. The role focuses on delivering commercial fit-out and design & build projects, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery. You’ll shape project outcomes within a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities - Take ownership of projects from pre-construction through practical completion and handover
- Oversee complete lifecycle: design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors, engineers, and site teams
- Develop and manage programmes and delivery milestones
- Ensure buildability and technical compliance of designs
- Procure electrical equipment, materials and subcontract packages
- Monitor budgets, costs, valuations, variations and financial performance
- Identify and manage commercial and programme risks
- Liaise with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Chair progress, design and subcontractor meetings
- Manage RFIs, design changes and project documentation
- Ensure installations meet drawings, specs and UK standards
- Coordinate with other building services packages
- Oversee testing, snagging and handover
- Monitor subcontractor performance and safety documentation
- Maintain RAMS, permits and site records
- Provide progress and commercial reporting
- Support cost/value forecasting and financial control
- Resolve technical and delivery issues proactively
- Deliver projects safely, on programme, on budget and to quality standards
Key requirements - Proven experience as Electrical Project Manager in electrical contracting/building services/M&E
- Strong electrical building services background
- Experience delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment
- Experience on design & build schemes
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams
- Strong programme, procurement and project management skills
- Commercial awareness with budget, variations and cost control
- Strong client and stakeholder management
- Knowledge of UK electrical standards, construction practices, H&S and CDM
