Job Title: Project Manager
Location: West Groton, MA
Pay Range: $115,000–$125,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide Plant Supervision Services at our West Groton facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the steam and power plant. The Project Manager will hold a Massachusetts Second Class Engineer License and serve as the primary on-site leader, overseeing plant operations, maintenance, and staff supervision.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct plant staff to maintain compliance with state codes and operational standards.
- Oversee daily operations of steam and power plant systems, including boilers, pumps, air compressors, softeners, and related equipment.
- Manage and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Conduct regular inspections and tours of plant systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all plant systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and prepare periodic performance reports.
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained, licensed, and certified as required by law.
- Implement and document safety training programs for plant staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison between BTE and the client, ensuring quality service delivery and effective communication.
- Organize and structure personnel for efficient supervision, rapid response, and consistent quality control.
- QualificationsMassachusetts Second Class Engineer License in good standing (required).
- 10–15 years of supervisory experience in steam and power plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (EPA, OSHA) and best practices in building operations and maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration.
