Central Operations (CO) serves as the backbone of Amazon Logistics (AMZL), enabling scalable management of our increasingly complex last-mile delivery network. CO plays a crucial role in executing optimal and cost-efficient route planning, labor planning, and last-mile on-road delivery experiences. This role offers an opportunity to support a rapidly evolving part of AMZL, leading the development of best-in-class operations that drive effective, real-time decisions to maximize both customer and driver experiences on the road.
As Program Mgr of Central operations , you will lead multiple programs to solve the customer problems that impacts customer promise and balance the cost. This role requires close partnership with Field Operations,, Product , Business Continuity, DSP, and ACES teams.
You will build and implement programs , systems, and mechanisms to execute the short and mid term solves and work with global (NA/EU) teams, you will drive both short-and long-term strategic enhancements to improve operator and customer experience , network resilience, and balance tradeoffs.. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who can balance a deep understanding of customer experience and ability to drive programs from conception through implementation at pace is essential , with strong stakeholder management, the ability to influence across organizations, and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
This role requires strategic thinking to enhance our program capabilities while ensuring operational excellence in real-time response situations. The main tasks you will be responsible for in this position are as follows.:-
1)Business cycle management and strategy planning for the Central Operations (CO)
2)Formulation and development of medium- to long-term growth strategies for the new businesses at AMZL in CO
Key job responsibilities
- Designing and modeling new programs for developing business needs to prove quality, cost, and scalability goals as critical outputs.
- Gathering and analyzing data across order fulfillment functions to establish global standards for operations in partnership with cross functional teams.
- Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities and drive bench marking study and standardization with NA/EU CO team
- Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.
- Leading project teams to plan, organize, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
- Innovating to improve customer experience and continuously remove cost from our fulfillment network.
- Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of the business.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
