Operations Project Manager Job Description

Operations Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects that are assigned by the organization. This includes directing the activities of team members, managing resources, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. Operations Project Managers will also be responsible for ensuring that the project meets company and/or customer expectations. 

Operations Project Manager Responsibilities 

  • Develop project plans and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget 
  • Create and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets 
  • Monitor project progress and identify areas of risk or opportunity 
  • Manage stakeholders and provide periodic updates 
  • Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts 
  • Ensure that project deliverables are met 
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes 
  • Maintain project documents, records, and files 
  • Develop and coach project teams, including providing feedback and guidance 

Operations Project Manager Requirements and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in project management 
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills 
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software
