PAY: $90,000 - $137,000 per year
Our client is currently seeking a Environmental Project Manager with 8 to 15 plus years of experience to support their growing environmental site investigation, remediation, and compliance practice. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work with a staff of interrelated professionals dedicated to providing high-level expertise on complex projects above, below and at ground-level. As a Project Manager you will also have ownership opportunities with the firm, participate in profit sharing, and have the potential for advancement to principal levels.
Responsibilities:
- Managing project team, delegating to office and field staff, and executing daily project activities
- Managing project contractual and financial issues (including terms of agreement, changes in scope, billing process)
- Mentoring existing staff of project-level scientists and engineers
- Monitoring team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets
- Conducting site compliance inspections
- Preparing proposals and reviewing/writing environmental reports with Principal guidance and review
- Conducting/reviewing technical analyses/calculations
- Participating in meetings and agency consultation
- Conducting internal and client communications
- Providing business development support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geological/Hydrogeology or Environmental Sciences (advanced degree is a plus)
- 8 to 15 years of project experiences in environmental site assessment (ESA), environmental site investigation, and soil and groundwater remediation.
- Experience at consulting engineering firms and knowledge of applicable Federal and Michigan laws and regulations, such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Michigan Part 111/115, Part 201, Part 213 (experience in adjacent states is a plus)
- Strong understanding of field sampling and investigative protocols
- Strong knowledge of contaminants fate and transport in subsurface and experience in conceptual site model development
- Experience in database and GIS is a plus.
- Experience with statistical review of data
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
- Possess or have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
- PE/PG/LSRP or other professional registration strongly preferred
- Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
- Possess the ability to maintain strong and consistent outreach to clients
- Demonstrate professional judgment, consistency, strong attention to detail, and background of high-quality work products
- Demonstrate performance of independent analysis, problem solving and strong organizational skills
- Strong interest in safety
