What to Expect
We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead our Should Costing platform, a data-intensive, algorithm-driven application used to estimate how much a product/ parts/ component should cost, based on materials, manufacturing processes, and market dynamics. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for translating complex modeling logic, cost structures, and user workflows into intuitive, powerful product capabilities. You'll work closely with engineering, data science, and procurement experts to build features that directly influence sourcing decisions and cost-saving strategies at scale. We’re looking for someone who loves solving technical problems, understands how real-world parts are made, and wants to own and drive product areas.
What You’ll Do
- Own the product vision and roadmap for the Should Costing platform
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements related to: Cost modeling, BOM (Bill of Materials), Material cost trends and Manufacturing processes and logistics
- Work closely with engineering and data science teams to design and implement predictive cost models, cost breakdown structures and optimization algorithms and simulations
- Define and track key product metrics, including cost accuracy, model adoption, and customer satisfaction
- Stay current on market trends in raw materials, global supply chains, and cost estimation methodologies
- Ensure regulatory and data compliance (as applicable) for sourcing and cost data
- Support go-to-market efforts with product documentation, training, and demos
What You’ll Bring
- 2–4 years of product management or technical product work (P2–P3 level)
- Strong analytical skills, able to understand and shape logic behind complex cost models and algorithms
- Experience working with structured data, Excel/Sheets, or even SQL
- Familiarity with product structures, BOMs, sourcing processes, or manufacturing workflows
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders from all internal departments
- A bias for action, comfortable driving clarity in ambiguity and product outcomes
- Exposure to AI/ML techniques used in predictive modeling or cost forecasting
- Experience with cost estimation tools, ERP systems, or PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
