Responsibilities
As part of the IT Shared Services Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager II will help deliver mission‑critical business application and infrastructure projects. This role works with stakeholders across both infrastructure and application development on initiatives of varying scope and complexity.
The Project Manager II is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and monitoring project activities throughout the full development lifecycle. This includes defining scope, identifying resource needs, developing work plans, managing timelines, and providing consistent project updates. The position also conducts project reviews, quality assurance audits, and proactively identifies and mitigates risks. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
Qualifications
Required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
- Ability to work U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours
- Commitment to incorporating security into daily responsibilities
- 6+ years of Project Management experience (preferably in IT)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence
- Full lifecycle development experience
- Ability to manage JIRA boards, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and escalate issues to product owners
- Strong ownership and accountability in driving team progress
- Experience managing sprint content, monthly releases, and ensuring timely story completion
- Ability to address team issues and provide feedback to leadership
- Skilled in planning and coordinating deliverables, timelines, and project plans
- Awareness of cross‑team impacts and ability to respond accordingly
- Ability to assess project status, identify risks to deadlines, and recommend solutions
- Strong collaboration skills in a remote work environment
- Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements
- Proficient in requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS, or a related field
- PMP certification
- Strong task management and problem‑solving abilities
