Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Move Manager – Workplace Strategy & Occupancy to support our client’s Real Estate & Workplace team in San Francisco, CA.

Each candidate will be asked to provide one of the following as a sample of past work:

A drafted communications plan for a move
A post-move survey they developed
A dashboard or visual showing metrics for a move

Contract: 6 Months, W2

Pay Rate: $70.00–$80.00/hr W2

Key Responsibilities:

Lead move programs for office restacks, team expansions, and large-scale relocations.
Align scenarios with occupancy forecasts, adjacency priorities, and business continuity plans.
Create communications, training, and orientation plans tailored to employee needs.
Conduct post-move surveys, interviews, and feedback sessions to improve future transitions.

Program Execution & Cross-functional Leadership

Serve as the main point of contact between Workplace, IT, Security, People Ops, and vendors.
Coordinate logistics including furniture moves, signage, tech setups, and locker assignments.

Employee Experience & Change Management

Ensure transitions are smooth, high-touch, and low-disruption for all employees.
Collaborate with executive assistants and team leads for walkthroughs and feedback loops.
Track satisfaction metrics, churn rates, and occupancy accuracy.
Maintain documentation and toolkits to scale move processes globally.

What You Bring:

Must-Have:

10+ years in move management, change management, or workplace operations.
Experience leading large-scale corporate moves (1,000+ employees).
Vendor management and RFP/RFI execution experience.
Ability to read floor plans and coordinate office furniture layouts.
Proficiency in CAFM tools (e.g., OfficeSpace, Archibus, Tririga).
Hands-on presence during all phases of the move process.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience managing global or multi-site moves.
PMP certification or equivalent program management credential.
Strong data visualization or dashboard-building skills.
