Program Director – Advanced Emergency Ultrasonography Fellowship
Ochsner Health’s Department of Emergency Medicine seeks a motivated academic emergency physician to serve as Program Director for our Advanced Emergency Ultrasonography Fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and administration of the fellowship program, coordinating curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and clinical integration.
- Oversee comprehensive ultrasound education and resident rotations within the Emergency Medicine residency program.
- Collaborate with the existing emergency ultrasound division to integrate program activities with ongoing clinical and educational missions.
- Manage program logistics, including resource allocation for dedicated ultrasound machines, billing practices, quality assurance workflows, and procedural scope.
Qualifications
- Ultrasound fellowship trained emergency physician.
- Strong passion for program development, mentorship, and advancement of point‑of‑care ultrasound education.
- Experience in academic teaching and clinical leadership at a major academic medical center.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
