At Utah Valley University, the General Manager of Wolverine SportsProperties has the unique opportunity to drive revenue growth andbuild meaningful partnerships that directly support the success ofUVU Athletics. This highly visible role combines businessdevelopment, relationship management, and strategic marketing,leading efforts to identify, secure, and grow corporatesponsorships, advertising agreements, and community partnerships.Working closely with local, regional, and national organizations,the General Manager serves as a key ambassador for UVA Athletics,creating innovative partnership opportunities that connectbusinesses with the excitement and engagement of Wolverinesports.

Beyond generating new business, therole provides the opportunity to oversee partnership fulfillment,cultivate long-term client relationships, and develop newinitiatives that enhance the value and impact of corporatepartnerships. The successful candidate will play an important rolein advancing the visibility, financial strength, and communitypresence of UVU Athletics while working in a collaborative andenergetic environment dedicated to student-athlete success andinstitutional growth.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Sponsorship and Partnership Development: Identifies andapproaches potential sponsors, advertisers, and corporate partners.Develops and presents compelling proposals to secure newsponsorships and partnerships and builds and nurtures long-termrelationships. Maintains regular communication and engagement toensure ongoing support and collaboration. Actively seeks andsecures new cash partnerships to support UVU Athletics programs andinitiatives.
- Client Relationship Management: Develops innovative programsand initiatives to enhance the value provided to corporatepartners. Introduces new services or benefits to better serve andengage sponsors. Implements client initiatives, regularly reviewseffectiveness, and makes adjustments and improvements based onsponsor feedback and needs to ensure high levels of sponsorsatisfaction. Regularly engages with corporate sponsors throughdirect communication and addresses any concerns or requestspromptly and professionally. Creates and distributes newsletters tokeep sponsors informed and engaged. Organizes corporate partnergatherings and events to foster networking and relationshipbuilding.
- Fulfillment and Coordination: Oversees the implementation anddelivery of partnership agreements. Ensures all sponsorship andadvertising commitments are met to the highest standards.Coordinates with internal teams and external partners to executepartnership activities. Monitors and reports on partnershipperformance and deliverables.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degreein a related discipline plus three years of staff-level experienceor an equivalent combination of education and/or experience relatedto the Summary of Duties totaling seven years.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master'sdegree in Sports Business Management; OR a bachelor's degree inSports Business Management and two years of experience related tothe summary of duties with a master's degree to be completed inthree years.

- Knowledge of University, WAC, BIG 12, and NCAA rules andregulations.

- Ability to track prospective sales and inventory throughouteach fiscal year and provide up-to-date data to theadministration.
