This position anchors that mission. You'll cultivate the Guides who interact directly with students, transforming them into outstanding coaches instead of traditional instructors. You'll facilitate life skills workshops that leave lasting impressions. You'll leverage performance metrics to pinpoint where students or Guides are underperforming and coach them toward excellence. You'll also maintain your own student cohort, ensuring the expectations you hold are the standards you demonstrate.

What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and coach Guides to execute Alpha's coaching model with consistency, enthusiasm, and unwavering standards.
- Facilitate dynamic life skills workshops addressing communication, focus, feedback, leadership, and resilience for K-8 students using established playbooks.
- Analyze student and Guide performance metrics to uncover coaching opportunities, eliminate obstacles, and produce measurable progress weekly.
- Conduct motivation sessions that empower every student to embrace ambitious goals and consistently reach them.
- Sustain your own student cohort while exemplifying the coaching quality and accountability you require from all Guides.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Instructing academic content. Students pursue core academics independently via AI-powered learning platforms.
- Developing lesson plans or curriculum materials. Your focus is superior coaching, not producing instructional content.
- Controlling classrooms through lectures, worksheets, or behavioral systems. Students drive their own learning, and you coach the practices that enable success.
- Reducing standards to sidestep challenging conversations. Elevated expectations and authentic belief in every student's capability are inseparable.
- Defining success by activity rather than outcomes. Results carry greater weight than effort by itself.
Program Director Key Responsibilities
Establish a coaching culture where outstanding Guides reliably develop students who are passionate about school, achieve academic mastery at an accelerated rate, and cultivate the resilience, leadership, and life skills necessary to thrive well beyond the classroom.
Basic Requirements
- Willing to work on campus in Dallas, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Austin, TX; or Fort Worth, TX (relocation assistance provided).
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
5+ years of experience leading adults in education, learning and development, youth leadership, coaching, or a comparable performance-driven environment.
- Demonstrated success managing a team of five or more individuals, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and challenging accountability discussions.
- Experience working directly with children ages 5-14 in an educational, developmental, athletic, or youth leadership context.
- Track record of building, launching, scaling, or substantially improving a program, team, school, business, or initiative.
- Proven capacity to leverage performance metrics and data to diagnose challenges, prioritize interventions, and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
- Experience coaching athletics, facilitating outdoor or experiential education, directing camps, youth programs, or other cohort-based organizations.
- Experience creating or leading innovative education, EdTech, tutoring, nonprofit, or learning programs beyond traditional classroom instruction.
- Personal background of exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, or leadership.
- Firm belief that education should cultivate capable, resilient, independent young people instead of merely delivering academic content.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
