Duties
Coordinates the nationwide implementation of FSA programs and initiatives and serves as a primary point of contact for institutions and regional offices on issues related to FSA programming, needs assessments, and incentives. Ensures program guidance is applied consistently and identifies operational challenges affecting institutional implementation. Works in close liaison with the U.S. District Courts, U.S. Probation Offices, state agencies and institutions, U.S. Parole Commission, U.S. Marshals Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and various other agencies and divisions of the Department of Justice. Provides national directives to institutions, regional offices, and Central Office staff. Involved in a wide range of First Step Act related activities pertaining to the management of inmates committed to the custody of the Attorney General and under the care of the Federal Prison System.
