PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Lead other CNC machinist as well as work with other departments to solve Machining issues. Motivate associates to reach a common goal and instructs those in need of training. Carry out the objectives of company management, follow company policies and procedures. Evaluate and report to management the machine shop associate’s skills, development, and progress as it relates to the trade.
JOB/TASK FUNCTIONS:

- Proficiently operate all machine shop equipment.
- Program CNC machines.
- Interpret engineering drawings.
- Provide individual and group training.
- Review projects daily with adjacent leaders to determine priority strategies.
- Ensure machine maintenance schedules are adhered to.
- Perform and schedule machine maintenance.
- Adjust priorities to meet schedule needs.
- Provide shop team members with daily machining goals.
- Maintain 5S work environment, including safety related tasks.
- Report shop status to management.
- Understand progressive die functions.
- Maintain equipment records and Coordinate repairs for all machines when needed.
- Troubleshoot basic machine issues.
- Track/record shop team member performance/errors.
- Provide/implement continuous improvement ideas.
- Excellent attendance and safety record.
