Project Manager – Protection and Automation
We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Electrification and Automation (EA) and Protection and Automation (P&A) team in Wendell, NC. The position is hybrid, with an expectation of 2–3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation through closeout in a dynamic, matrix‑style organization.
- Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.
- Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of assigned project(s).
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Lead and drive multi‑disciplinary and cross‑functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics and services.
- Provide regular updates to team, management, and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.
- Identify project problems and obtain solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Proactive risk identification and mitigation.
- Manage customer expectations across project cycle and lead single and multi‑product medium voltage solutions projects.
- Direct diagnostics with ability to determine root cause and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- 3+ years hands‑on project management experience, including contract management and P&L responsibility.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to travel up to 20 % (domestic and international).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or training in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Experience in the power distribution industry managing medium voltage portfolios.
- PMP certification.
- Basic knowledge of power distribution and ability to read and understand electrical drawings and customer specifications.
- Experience identifying and implementing cost‑saving measures within projects.
- Commitment to develop, drive, and manage projects in a highly competitive market.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex issues to multi‑level audiences.
- Ability to interpret and report results to senior management and customers.
- Demonstrated ability in contract and change management.

Compensation
$91,463 – $156,794 (10 % bonus potential)
