Position Overview
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead JLL’s owner’s representative work on assigned scopes within a large scale, long-duration federal development program in the Virginia Beach area.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Lead JLL’s owner’s representative role on assigned scopes, holding the vendor accountable to schedule, budget, and quality.
- Own change order review and approval workflows, adjudicating contested items with the vendor.
- Coordinate with the vendor’s project management staff across construction phases.
- Interface with client stakeholders on program status, risks, and issue resolution.
- Prepare and deliver briefings to client leadership.
- Mentor Project Managers on the team and support their professional development.
- Contribute to program-level cost, schedule, and risk reporting to JLL leadership and the client.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of construction project management experience, including ground-up construction.
- Direct NAVFAC project experience or extensive Department of Defense construction background.
- Multi-family residential development experience in a developer or owner’s representative role.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors on programs of comparable scale.
- Change order review and approval experience on complex construction contracts.
- Ability to brief and interact with military leadership at the base command level and above.
- Willingness to work onsite in the Virginia Beach area five days per week.
Preferred qualifications
- PMP certification.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Prior experience with Public-Private Venture (PPV) military housing programs or student housing privatization initiatives.
- Team leadership experience with direct reports.
- DoD SkillBridge or Military Transition Program (MTP) participants with relevant senior project management experience are encouraged to apply.
Estimated compensation for this position:
110,000.00 – 155,000.00 USD per year
