Role Overview:
We are looking for a Software Program Manager to oversee low-level and product-focused software projects, ensuring end-to-end delivery of embedded and firmware solutions. This role bridges technical execution and strategic planning, coordinating engineering teams, hardware teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, mission-critical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of software projects with a focus on low-level firmware, embedded systems, and device-level software.
- Define project scope, schedule, milestones, resource requirements, and risk management plans.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and embedded software teams to translate product requirements into actionable project plans.
- Track and report project progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure high standards of software quality, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Coordinate cross-functional dependencies, including test/validation, manufacturing, and release processes.
- Mentor and guide engineering and project teams on best practices for low-level software development, integration, and deployment.
- Drive process improvement initiatives in software delivery, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience in software, embedded systems, or low-level firmware development.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, device drivers, RTOS, and low-level programming.
- Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid environments.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence) and software version control (Git, SVN).
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
